ICANN's registration data lookup tool allows users to search for domain name and Internet number resource registration data. The tool utilizes the Registration Data Access Protocol (RDAP), a replacement for the WHOIS protocol. RDAP provides secure, standardized, and user-friendly access to registration data. Information is retrieved directly from registry operators and/or registrars in real time. ICANN does not store or retain any data associated with the lookups. For requests to non-public registration data, use the Registration Data Request Service (RDRS).
