Tropical Cyclone Jude
On Mar. 9, 2025, NASA’s Aqua satellite captured this image of Tropical Cyclone Jude hours before it hit the northern coast of Mozambique. Jude formed on Mar. 8 and then quickly strengthened in the warm waters of the Mozambique Channel into a Category 1 hurricane before landfall. It is expected to continue weakening as it travels over land before potentially turning back toward the water.
